Hey y’all! This is Amelia Leslie, an award winning artist based in Plano, TX. I have been a passionate artist my whole life, although until a few years ago, I didn’t see myself making a living off of my artwork. I was actually pre-med in college! I worked in the healthcare industry as everything from a CNA to an EMT, but all that came to a halt when I faced some sudden, very severe health issues. I slowly healed, against all odds, and returned to my work as an EMT at my college. However, that career path just didn’t feel right anymore. I took my second chance at life and decided to follow what made me glow with joy day in and day out: art. I’ve painted most everything, from pet portraits to caricatures to grand, formal landscapes. The nerd in me loves studying art history and theory, and putting all my love and brainpower into each painting. Some of my favorite artists are John Singer Sargent and Winslow Homer.
